We can think of many places in big cities
when baklava is in question. If you have time
you can eat the best baklava in Bodrum, at
the baklava shop of Yalçın Usta and his son
Cemal Usta who have been running the shop
for 16 years in Gölköy. It is on the way to
Türkbükü. Especially if you go there in the
afternoon, you can buy the crisp baklavas
while sherbet is being poured on them. One
cannot have enough of these baklavas made
with walnuts. Yalçın Usta says the fame of
the baklavas are beyond Bodrum and they send
baklavas to Istanbul. He adds with pleasure
that some famous businessmen order their drivers
trays of baklava to take to Istanbul and Ankara.
