The purpose of the association is to improve the village of Türkbükü and surrounding without changing the authentic structure and natural beauties, to provide building activities in the same format as the village layout, to provide sufficient and contemporary solutions for accommodation purposes for the village itself and for tourism, to make the name of the village heard and to improve village tourism by providing cooperation between the village residents, local village authorities and local town authorities. The association does not get involved in politics nor uses it as an element.

Works

As a village the association worked with the body of muhtar/village authority and as a town has been working with the Municipality. The association has organized 5 festivals since it was founded and will soon start to plant trees on the land leased from the Department of Treasure of Turkey. It has been carrying on its activities against environment and sea pollution through its committees. It also helped drainage to be built in Türkbükü.

According to the Information Received from the General Secretary of Bük-der, Mr. Coşkun Kartal;

FOREST

Bük-Der has been working on forest projects since 1995 and for this purpose 117.520 sq mt of land was leased from the Treasure on 20/01/1998 at Bağarası.

Due to red tape, transactions were finished in 2001 and with the help of Mr. Asım Kocabıyık, forestry works has started by Foundation of Tema.

HEALTH FACILITY

Bük-Der started a campaign in 1995 to establish a health facility in the village and a place was allocated for this purpose. The fund raised by the campaign was deposited in Yapı Kredi Bank to be spent on the health facility and the building was financed by Mr. Mehmet Oğuz. The fund raised by Bük- Der with the interests it earned will be used to buy the necessary equipment.
